Meet Tracy

Author Photo T Popolizio.jpgWelcome! Thanks so much for visiting my site. I hope you find it encouraging and helpful, especially since it was a bit painful to get here (more about that later).

I was born and raised in a small town in Connecticut. And I mean, small town. The kind where most everyone knows you. In seventh grade my husband and I were introduced by mutual friends, and quickly became good friends as we discovered our birthdays were only hours apart. Not to mention, we were born in the same hospital, delivered by the same doctor. I know, crazy, but I’m not making that up! Yes, I’m older, and constantly reminded of it. We continued as friends through high school and college, talking every year on my birthday. Before I knew it, he had swept me away (landing back in the same small town where I grew up), and we settled here with our two children. We are blessed to be very close to extended family.

I am a teacher by trade, but I won’t bore you with preschool stories. How did I get to begin this blog? I was happily working, raising my children in the Lord, and enjoying my life when my daughter inspired me to write a book. It took four years to complete my first book, The Longest New York Minute, but a second career was born! Just recently my second book, Tapestry of Lies was released. God continued to open doors for me, and for a couple of years I had been speaking at schools about writing and my experience, as well as at churches on how God has been using me. I am also currently working on two other books, also geared for young adults and speaking at more events and retreats.

Only recently did God speak to me about starting this blog. While it’s been on my mind for years to start blogging, I never quite figured out what I wanted to write about. During the last couple of years I went through a very tough period of time with my thinking. And I mean, tough. Ever been there? I’m sure you haven’t! Well, let me tell you it’s NOT FUN. I became so convinced that my husband was cheating on me that it became almost debilitating for me. To answer your question, no, he wasn’t. Not at all. As I dealt with my thoughts and learned how to control what I allowed myself to dwell on, God revealed to me in a dream that this was exactly what He wanted me to write about. So here you go, whatareyouthinking247!
